Relatively Inexpensive Things That Make Me Feel Boujee AF

To be 100% transparent with you all, I am the type of person that takes pleasure in the simple things in life. I am not that kind of girl that needs a designer purse or designer clothing to make me happy. Of course I do like to indulge in some “luxury” items here and there, but my idea of “luxury” probably isn’t the same as other girls. I love to shop at discount stores like Marshalls and T.J.Maxx, and I just can’t help myself when I find a really good bargain, its kind of what I live for!

I wanted to create this post share with you some items that make me feel boujee, while still being on a budget and to show you that you can do it too!

Comfortable Chic Bedding

There is no place I would rather be than cuddled up in bed, nice and cozy, watching trashy reality television, with some snacks to munch on and a Diet Coke to drink. My husband and I are both complete homebodies and love the aesthetic of our master bedroom. To me, my room isn’t only where I lay my head at night, it’s like my own little space where I feel safe and content.

My Bedding Favorites From Target:

Matching Button Down Pajama Sets

There is nothing I love more than to be in comfy clothing, especially pajamas. Over the holidays, I found amazing button down pajama sets with matching top and bottoms at T.J.Maxx and I loaded up on them. My favorite sets are a blend of polyester and spandex, they are so butter soft, comfortable, and breathable. Working from home, I wear these all day long, and I feel so cute and cozy!

Plushy Comfy Robes

Keeping with the theme, I love an extremely comfortable, plush, robe, especially during the Michigan winters, I could stay in my robe all day long! My husband purchased us beautiful matching bathrobes for Christmas, but for some reason I cannot stop using his old, worn in, oversized, robe, it is so comforting and soothing for me! You can always find a great deal on a nice quality bathrobe at discount stores such as T.J. Maxx or Marshalls.

NATORI Plush Leopard Shawl Collar Robe

Candles are one of my all-time favorite things to purchase- I acquired this obsession from my Mom, who always burned candles and wax melts in the house when I was growing up. I just cannot help myself, I always have to buy candles. I used to be obsessed with Bath and Body Works candles, however, over the years I feel as though the amount of money that I spend on their candles vs the longevity of the candles just isn’t worth the price point. Within the last few months, per recommendation from my best friends (shout out to Cheech and Laida), I have started purchasing the Sand & Fog candles from T.J.Maxx and Marshalls. Sand & Fog have amazing scents and seem to last much longer than any other candle I have purchased in the past. I’ve done a bit of research, and it looks like quite a few different retailers sell this brand including Target, Amazon, and of course, the Sand & Fog official website. Per my little research on this brand I found that these candles range from $22-$32, however, you can purchase them at a discount store such as T.J. Maxx or Marshalls for $12-$14 at the most, so I highly suggest checking these candles out first at a discount store, rather than blindly purchasing them off the official website.

Easy Home Improvements

I have lived in my apartment complex since 2014, and it is extremely outdated- my husband and I moved from a one bedroom one bathroom unit to a two bedroom with a guest bathroom and a master bathroom in the bedroom and decided to spruce the place up as we are saving for a house and want to at least enjoy the home we are stuck in until we make the big move. We made quite a few, renter friendly, adjustments to our apartment and it is incredible how much making even the smallest change can make a difference. We have added peel and stick backsplashes, replaced the toilet paper holders, door handles as well as towel bars, added some shelves and it has transformed even the smallest of spaces. Luckily, we live in a complex where their policy on making small updates is fine as long as they are tasteful and don’t stray too far from the way it was when we moved in.

Here are some of my favorite items we have used to make these improvements, transforming a drabby outdated space into a more contemporary chic style:

Chic Bathroom Decor

To me, there’s nothing like having a cute chic aesthetically pleasing bathroom, luckily I have two that I can decorate and make cute. As you all know I love a nice hot bath and having a cozy cute bathroom makes the ambiance my own personal oasis. Recently, I did a whole redecorating project to my guest bathroom that is contemporary and gender neutral.

Here are some of the inexpensive items I purchased to redecorate my guest bathroom:

How I Styled My Bathroom Shelf:

Having A Skincare Routine

Self care was something I never implemented in my life until recently- during the Black Friday Sales this past Thanksgiving I purchased so many different facial masks, skincare products and tools, and started trying them out on a nightly basis. As I started doing skin care more frequently, it didn’t matter what time of the night it was, I absolutely had to do something, from a good scrub to just a sheet mask, it made me feel significantly better about myself and improved my mental health.

Here are some of my favorite items I bought during the sale:
