My Current Favorite Foundations

Hey blogging buddies!

Today I wanted to share with you my current favorite foundations and concealers-Some of these products are old favorites and some are newer than others. When I go to purchase a foundation I take a lot into consideration. I know that I want a full coverage foundation that is long lasting, I want something with really good reviews, either from beauty gurus or my blogging buddies, and I look for something affordable.

Here are my current obsessions:

Revlon Color Stay: Oh my God, you guys…I have been using this foundation since I was a teenager. I always have loved this product and I am sure that I always will. The thing that drew me to it was the fact that it was for combination/oily skin which is, obviously, my skin type. I used to apply this with my fingers back in the day and I could always get a nice smooth finish that lasted all day with minimal touch up to my t-zone area. I love to pair this with different concealers and powders now and extend it to its full capability. I don’t believe that this is 100% a full coverage foundation, as I still wear concealer with it, but it is pretty close. I love to pair this with different concealers and powders and extend the product to its full capability. This foundation will always be in my makeup bag!

Rimmel Match Perfection: About a year ago, I discovered this foundation at the drug store, and I will be honest, I was skeptical. I had never tried Rimmel foundations before, and the price point seemed too good to be true…a full coverage, drugstore foundation, for less than $10…I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I was looking for a cheap, full coverage alternative to replace my Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation which I had just run out of. I couldn’t afford to replace it with the real deal and I figured that it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. I would have to say that this DOES NOT substitute for the Lock It foundation but it is definitely a full coverage. I did find that I had to frequently touch up my t-zone area though. This foundation is one of the better, lower price products that I have come across in awhile. For the price I highly recommend trying this product out for yourself!

L’oreal Infallible 24H-Matifying Foundation: After the Rimmel Match Perfection discovery, I found the Infallible 24 hour Matte foundation, which was even better than match perfection and more closer to the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation! As a full coverage girl, this is definitely my number one foundation right now. Even though it is a full coverage foundation I also like to dab in other foundations, such as a medium coverage as I feel like it gives the finish a little bit of dimension. As with all full coverage foundations I like the fact that I do not necessarily need to use a concealer, but if you do choose to use one with this foundation, please use a light hand as the finish may turn out “cakey.” Other than that, this product comes highly recommended from yours truly!!!

I hope you enjoyed this post and are inspired to give some of these products a try!

XOXOXOXO
