Product “Empties” Collection-Skin And Hair Care

Hello there my blogging babes!

I have been collecting my “empties” for the past two months now to showcase what products I use and replace most frequently. As you all may know, from previous posts, I DO NOT wear makeup every day, therefore, its VERY RARE for me to “hit pan” on anything cosmetic related. Therefore, I more frequently use, and run out of skin care and hair care products quicker than I would run out of makeup.

Here are my product “empties” that I highly recommend for you to try!

My collection of “empties”

Generic Value Products: Tea Tree Oil Shampoo (Sally Beauty brand):

This shampoo works wonders if you tend to get a lot of build up on your scalp from waxy hair products like I do. In previous years, I had purchased Herbal Essence Tea-lightfully Clean shampoo for the same issue, however, it is hard to find now, and I believe they stopped making it-I am so glad to have found this product to replace it! Even if you don’t get the waxy build up its always good to do a treatment such as this every so often to get a nice deep clean through your scalp. This product not only smells nice but feels great as well as it is cooling and tingly and smells like peppermint. All in all it is a great treatment and I highly recommend Sally’s brand of generic products as they perform just as well as the name brand.

Quantum Riveting Reds Shampoo

This incredible color shampoo was also purchased at Sally Beauty while I was in search of the perfect shampoo for redheads. As you may, or may not know, red is said to be the hardest to stay in and the hardest to get out hair color you could possibly have, which I believe to be true! I have been on both ends of the spectrum with that old saying, but I would have to say, keeping the red locked in is the hardest part. Literally every time I wash my hair I see red hair dye bleeding out. I started to use this shampoo and I feel as though it really does work in building upon and keeping whatever color red you currently have in your hair. The consistency is creamy and gel-like and is a deep beautiful red AND it smells like apples. They also carry shampoos for blonde and brunette shades making it a great brand for people with all different hair colors to try.

Soap & Glory Soap and Clarity Vitimin C Facial Wash

Soap & Glory Two Minute T-Zone Detox Scrub

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash

What can I say about Soap & Glory that I haven’t already said a million times before? I. LOVE. THIS. BRAND. From the scents to the affordability and the performance, I have never yet been disappointed by this brand. I am already on my third or fourth bottle of the Soap and Clarity Facial wash and my second bottle of Soap & Glory body washes. I will be replacing the Two Minute T-Zone Detox Scrub as soon as I find it again (not all locations carry it). I am a huge fan of Soap & Glory and I encourage anyone who is interested or has not tried the brand to give it a whirl.

Garnier Clearly Brighter Exfoliating Cleanser

Another product line that I am a huge fan of is the Garnier Clearly Brighter family. I have tried the face washes down to the moisturizers, I love everything about this line. It truly does gently exfoliate the skin and takes it from dull to glowing within a few uses. I am nervous, however, because I recently found this brand at TJMaxx and that could be a bad sign that they might be discontinuing it-so stock up now if you can!

Victoria’s Secret PINK What Tan Lines

To be completely honest with you guys, I have JUST recently started dabbling into the world of “self tanning.” This product was a recommendation from a girlfriend and when I tell you it works you better know it truly does! As a first timer, I did not have any streaky spots on my body (I usually only apply to limbs) which is rare for a self tanner plus a first time user! However, the only thing I did not like was the fact that it was so super messy and took so long to dry. If you have the time and patience to allow this product to work, it will. Just beware that it does cause some staining on the clothing even when you may think it has dried!

Formula 10.0.6 Pores Be Pure Skin Clarifying Mud Mask

Finally we have come to the end! I have talked about this product in my May favorites, and I absolutely love it. I like to apply it when I am taking a nice relaxing bath, let it work its magic and then wash it off with warm water. At first it does feel as though it is burning the skin, which panicked me at first, but I stuck it out and the burning sensation went away. This mask is not only great for pampering but it is great to have in your regular skin care routine as it helps clear up blemishes and purify pores. The price is right too, this and many more masks from Formula 10.0.6 can be purchased at Ulta for under $10, which is a steal for what you get! Highly, highly recommend checking these products out.

Well guys, I did it. I pushed myself to make this post and I did. This is all part of my promise to myself to try my very best to better myself and keep busy. I have put this post off for quite some time and I am so glad I finally completed it. Small steps can be big steps for some people like myself, and I hope to keep this momentum going as I have a lot of great things to share with you all!!!

      1. I don’t mind at all 🙂 Microbeads are one of the worst threats to our oceans because they are so tiny that they can’t be recycled and because they’re plastic, they never disintergrate and ocean creatures just drink it all day. It sucks. Some countries have already banned them, and I believe the U.S. has imposed a timeline for all companies to change their formulas and stop using them. Some companies use stuff like crushed walnut shells instead.

I really hope they come up with something that’s just as good because that Soap & Glory scrub is like magic!

    1. Thank you love!!! Yes, it does tend to feel like there is a burning sensation when you put it on. I have oily skin and I feel like I can handle harsher facial masks. Maybe just use it on your problem areas? -That might help
