NEW-Profusion Mixed Metals Palettes

Hi everyone!!!

Today, I made my pilgrimage to my favorite store in the world, Kmart, to do some browsing.

I don’t know why I hold that store so near and dear to my heart. Most people cringe at the thought that I would go out of my way to go to a Kmart since there are none around anymore, or that I actually wear clothes and shoes from there!!! People like to compliment me on my attire and ask where I got it from, when I say “Kmart” they immediately have some stupid comment to make, which is hilarious.

I was fearing that the last Kmart near me (30 minutes away) would be closing down just like the others…but I was pleased to see new items, especially in the makeup aisle! On an end cap I seen two new palettes from Profusion for $8 each. I have only ever seen the Profusion brand at Five Below and TjMaxx, but never at Kmart. When I opened up the palette’s to take a look I instantly fell in love…

There was no specific name to differentiate the palettes from one another, just the fact that they are in two different colored packages

Silver package:

Swatched bottom to top:

  • Muse
  • Platinum
  • Romance
  • Cheers
  • Cashmere
  • Sin
  • Burlesque
  • Metallika
  • Spooks

Gold package

Swatched bottom to top:

  • Angelic
  • Nude
  • Muse
  • Naked
  • Popn’ Bottles
  • Pharaoh
  • Mic Dro
  • Show Stopper
  • Bark

The metallic shadows in these palettes are absolutely gorgeous and swatch like butter-the mattes, not so much. The matte shadows tend to get patchy the darker the pigment is and feel as though they will be harder to blend and work with.

I really have to say I do like the gold packaged palette the best and the light colors will make for a great natural every day look and I can’t wait to play around with it and see what I can come up with. As you can see from my looks, the rare times that I do my makeup it is always looks that are very vivid and colorful with huge lashes. I am kind of wanting to create an every day go to look that I can perfect and achieve every morning.

As for now, without using the palettes, I would recommend them from the swatches. The price point is right and the metallics are gorgeous. If you are looking for a palette to mess around with and practice both elegant natural looks as well as colorful and bright looks, I would suggest picking these palettes up and giving them a try.

      1. Oh man I learned SO much working there. I miss those days…I wouldn’t want to go back to being A teenager but I did enjoy working there. I would go up into the upstairs and find the best clearance items, I would buy blankets, rugs, pillows, outdoor stuff by the dozen!!! Plus I had an employee discount…..can’t get much better than that!!!!! It’s definitely A cozy place to shop and I always find great treasures there
